Appreciating Visual Rhetoric

After learning about visual rhetoric, I have definately come to a greater apreciation for the skills that are required in advertising. Before, I thought a picture presented in an advertisement was simply produced by by some photographer. Now I realive that he/she is much more than that. The photographer is also a psychologist, an english professor, a businessman, an artist, and a scientist who must perform research. It makes me all the more interested in photography. Now, I analyze everything more. Visual Rhetoric is not limited to a page in a magazine, a billboard, or a painting. It is manifest in nearly everything, no matter how big or small and insignificant. Since taking this class, it even effects the way I dress in the morning.
